To be held in the Municipal Parking Lot on Middlesex Avenue (former Swain school). The library will be hosting an outdoor fair, featuring non-profit groups that offer services/volunteer opportunities to the citizens of Wilmington. Stop by and check out ways to engage in your community. Italy in Song with Ferdinando Argenti
This performance is a fascinating voyage through Italian popular music and its' history, encompassing at one time more than a century of Italian popular songs, and drawing from different genres of music as diverse as opera, pop and jazz. On vocals and keyboards, Ferdinando Argenti will perform for you songs made famous by artists such as L. Pavarotti, L. Dalla, A. Bocelli, C. Baglioni, L. Battisti, A. Celentano, B. Martino, D. Mondugno, L. Tenco, F. DeAndre, and many others. Ferdinando is a native of Pisa, (Tuscany), Italy, and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. A professional jazz pianist, he has also studied singing with The Bel Canto Opera in Boston and performs all above mentioned genres throughout the Boston area and beyond. Haunted Lighthouse: New England lore
House Series Jeremy D’Entremont will put you in the Halloween spirit by discussing the tales behind haunted New England lighthouses. Mr. D'Entremont has been called the leading expert on New England's historic lighthouses, writing seven books on the subject. He has appeared on the History Channel, the Travel Channel, Public Television, and National Public Radio speaking about his favorite subject. Third in the house series. The Senior Tones
Enjoy an afternoon of doo-wop sounds, oldies and some Louis Armstrong tunes. The Senior Tones are a group of four friends who dress like the Blues Brothers with hats, cool shades, and crazy ties; they stand around a microphone and what comes next is magic. This show is guaranteed to bring back memories for both young and old.
